Fix Series utility

Have you ever been adding items into Alexandria and realized that series went in the 400/490 fields, instead of the 830 tag like they’re supposed to? This only happens with certain vendors, but don’t get spooked! We’ve got a utility to solve it—the Fix Series utility.

To run the utility:

1. Go to Operations > Utilities.
2. Unlock Utilities by clicking the padlock icon to the top right.
3. Click Add utility.
4. Select Titles > Fix Series.
5. Click Run. To save the utility to run again in the future, click Save and Run.
6. Confirm the utility. Alexandria will then look at all title records with no 830 tag, and looks at the series title and volume in 490_a and 490_v and copies those values to 830_a and 830_v.
