Highlights

InterLibrary Loans

Interlibrary Loan reports have received an upgrade! Instead of only showing overdue items, these reports — renamed Interlibrary Loans – Patrons at Current Site and Interlibrary Loans – Items from Current Site — show all loans for your patrons that have come from other libraries, and all items from other libraries that are on loan to your patrons (respectively). You can save these reports and schedule them to run and have this information at your fingertips.

If your library does perform interlibrary loans (and In-Transit features are ON), you’ll see a new set of statistics on the Dashboard! These combined with the Interlibrary Loan reports can help you see items that you have shared, and ones on their way to your library.

Monarch

We’ve released a whole new version of Alexandria Monarch that includes new features such as note cards and flagged comments for student projects, announcements, reporting and data visualization for administrators, rostering with Clever, and more. Learn more about Monarch in our Support Center.

Report Previews

We’ve added more sample (preview) images for reports, notices, and labels. When creating a new report, toggle the Preview ON to see sample images! (Alexandria & Textbook Tracker)

Fixed

Circulation

  • When renewing all items for a patron at once in Circulation, the statistics are now correctly applied to their corresponding copies.
  • Access based on “View Details and Items Out” has been improved.
  • Reservation Labels when run from Circulation now include homeroom just like their Reports counterpart.
  • Temporary items were showing a title (description) of ‘Overdue’ which was baffling. Temporary items now properly respect the description entered.
  • We fixed a bug where some older lost copies couldn’t be bookdropped, and it also caused discrepancies with lost copy totals. You might see unexpected lost dates if you had items in this state.

Inventory

  • We have improved the confirmation message when you finish an inventory session.
  • Inventory Management wasn’t playing sounds properly on exceptions; this has been fixed and look! it’s well in time for inventory season!

Imports

  • We fixed the issue where 909 tags were interfering with title matching in imports.

Operations

  • Monthly Checkout Per Patron wasn’t very useful when sorting by policy, so we made that work better.

Search

  • Maps by Copy Location wasn’t always working so we’ve tweaked that to be better. Now you can help patrons find items in different locations!
  • Hold permissions are controlled by policies. When setting an Item Policy to not allow holds, but with an exception for a certain Patron Policy to allow them, Search wasn’t actually letting those patrons place holds. This has been fixed!
  • We fixed some issues with using site sets for searching.
  • Invisible icons? We’ve fixed a bunch more of these color issues in this release.
  • Some items were showing as ‘offsite’ in Search when that’s not really true. We’ve made this better.
