Back to school policy review

Welcome back to school! With everything the new school year brings to your plate, why take time to review your policies in Alexandria?

Policies establish rules that regulate how library resources are used by your patrons, and it is important to review policies at the beginning of the year to ensure they are set up correctly before items start circulating. Think of it as spending time now to save yourself headaches later!

To review your policies, go to Tools > Policies. Patron policies are listed on the left, while item policies are on the right. Do you have an expired Hard Due Date that needs to be updated? Are your patron policies set to apply period due dates?

Go through each of the tabs for your policies to ensure they are set as you would like for the new year. You may have additional policies created other than the defaults, so be sure to review all policies using the policy dropdown at the top of the respective panes.
