Building bulletin boards
September 15, 2025
Miss Honey and her staff are having a back-to-school book fair, and are looking for a way to get the word out to patrons, teachers, and parents. What better way than by building a Bulletin Board in Alexandria! Miss Honey can create a special bulletin board with info about the fair, and even post google forms for fair and volunteer sign-ups.

Bulletin Board basics are covered in our best practices article and our bulletin builder support page, so review those first if you’re new to curating bulletin boards (or just want a refresher).
How to Add a Google Form to your Bulletin
- Create the Google form you want to include in your bulletin.
- Go to Builder > Bulletin Boards and unlock the window.
- Click Create a board. Create your board, then use the plus sign to add a bulletin.
- In your finished Google form, click the Send button in the top right. This will open the top window shown on the right.
- Click the < > section, then select and copy and HTML show under “Embed HTML.”
- Paste the HTML into the Bulletin Text box in Alexandria.
- Make sure to click Save when you’re done!

A book fair isn’t the only way you could utilize bulletin boards.
- Create bulletins for specific teacher assignments or projects
- Volunteer sign-ups
- Track reading challenges for patrons
- Help student-run clubs and school teams
- Inform your patrons about special events at your library
- And more!
